A very pictorial scene from “Nell’anno del signore” — beautiful film of Luigi Magni, 1969. Film is taking place in Rome during Italian unification. This scene represents typical roman “popolino”, according to recent papal bile they can’t drink in osteria any more so they continue outside discussing and laughing about the pope and a life in general.
